Cyriaque’s Life!

THIS IS CYRIAQUE FROM BIMBO 2, IN THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC PLATEAU REGION. THIS FRAGILE BABY’S HEART NEEDS URGENT SURGERY.

Cyriaque has three older siblings. His father is a computer scientist and his mother is a housewife. The family of six lives together in a single-room home. Cyriaque is just beginning to speak in his native Sango language.

From birth, Cyriaque suffered from breathlessness, fevers, weakness, and difficulty breathing, and often turned blue, the result of Tetralogy of Fallot, a life-threatening multiple congenital heart defect. Without complex surgery his chances of survival are poor. Save a Child’s Heart can perform that surgery in Israel.

Cyriaque’s cardiac surgery requires funding of $15,000.
Please give generously to help save his life.

Child's Story

  • Age: 14 months old

  • From: Bimbo 2, Central African Republic (CAR)

  • Suffers from: Chronic fatigue and breathlessness

  • Condition: Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a congenital heart defect with four abnormalities that reduces oxygen levels in the blood and can cause cyanosis, requiring surgical repair.

  • Physicians in the CAR were unable to perform the surgery required to mend Cyriaque’s heart. They reached out to Save a Child’s Heart.

  • Cyriaque’s parents hope that treatment in Israel will enable their son to lead a normal life.

Cyriaque comes from a family of six. His father, Gnidou-Teh-Souka Privat Merlin, works as a computer scientist, and his mother, Bengue Dotoko Catherine, is a housewife. He has three older siblings, 12-year-old Vertu Kereine, 7-year-old Keneth Antonio and 4-year-old Maribelle Larose. They all live together in a one-room home.

From birth, Cyriaque suffered from breathlessness, fevers, weakness, and difficulty breathing, and often turned blue due to lack of oxygen. After a local physician evaluated the child’s condition as Tetralogy of Fallot, his family was connected to Save a Child’s Heart through Ted Hooley, the Director of the NGO, SENITIZO.

Cyriaque’s family is deeply thankful to the Save a Child’s Heart team for their compassion and support, expressing heartfelt gratitude and prayers for God’s blessings.
