Annabel lives with her parents and her older brother, seven-year-old Miracle, with whom she shares a very close bond. Her father, Amaechi, works as a technician, and her mother, Peculiar, is a trader.

Annabel was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a life-threatening multiple congenital heart defect. Her condition began worsening at about age 2. The specialized treatment she needs to repair her heart is unavailable in Nigeria.

Annabel’s life-saving surgery requires funding of $15,000.

  • Condition: Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a potentially fatal congenital heart defect with four abnormalities that reduce oxygen levels in the blood and can cause cyanosis, requiring surgical repair.

  • Physicians in Nigeria cannot carry out the complex surgery required to mend Annabel’s heart. They reached out to Save a Child’s Heart, to have the treatment performed in Israel.

  • Annabel's family are praying that she will have a chance to lead a normal life.


Annabel is a bright and cheerful four-year-old girl from Lagos, Nigeria. She is in his first year of kindergarten at a public school, where her favorite activity is painting. Annabel’s favorite food is beans. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day so she can help others.


At two years old, Annabel began experiencing breathlessness, frequent fevers, and clubbed fingers. Her concerned parents took her to a hospital 40 kilometers away, where she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a congenital heart defect with four heart abnormalities that reduces oxygen levels in the blood and can cause cyanosis. It requires surgical repair which is unavailable in Nigeria.


Annabel and her mother traveled to Israel with the hope of life-saving treatment through Save a Child’s Heart. Her mother described feeling devastated upon learning about her daughter’s condition, but also hopeful and grateful when they received the opportunity to come to Israel for surgery.
